Propulsion Modules Live!
I've been trying to add what I've called Modules into the Propulsion system for what seems like forever. I've always known that it would end up being one of the more important features but I kept putting it off. Well, it's finally happened. Propulsion Modules are now functioning! The home page is made up of 4 modules; the last FM stat graphics (3 of them) and the news list. There is still some more work to be done as far as creating interfaces for managing modules on a per page basis but I'm thrilled with what I have now.

FCK Editor
I've long searched for a WYSIWYG editor I could implement into my content editors. I've dabbled in writing one myself but that was rather overwhelming when I thought about making it crossbrowser. The deeper I delve into DOM the more and more I really start to dislike all the browser differences. Anyways, I'm getting sidetracked. FCK Editor is awesome. It does exactly what I want. It implements perfectly with what I have and is customizable enough to where I should be able to pull off some pretty awesome things. All content editors on this instance of Propulsion now have the editor installed. I still either need to migrate buffum.net and lbac.org over to this instance of Propulsion or update the instance they are on. Still trying to figure that one out.

Back from Vacation
I just got back from my yearly vacation in Mammoth. This was one of the more relaxing weeks there but still managed to take 300 pictures. Of course, I did have my new camera which was part of the reason for that. Luckily, I've only posted 130 or so. Enjoy!

New Camera!
So I decided to dive into the world of digital SLR cameras and bought the Canon Digital Rebel XT. I also bought several lenses from super wide angle to super telephoto. Here's one of the first pictures I've taken with it. So far I'm really happy with the quality. I think it blows away my old Sony camera. That said, I still plan on using my Sony when I go on trips where I can't lug a big camera. I'm looking forward to camping next week so I can play around with the camera more.

Welcome to my site!
This site is mainly a test bed for my propulsion site management system I am developing. Some pages probably don't work, and almost all pages have nothing on them except for maybe a couple random bytes of data. My gallery is the only section I regularly update with new pictures.
Eventually, I do plan on putting more information about myself and what I do but until then what you see is what you get. |
